Please note

This position is full-time, on-site in Makati, Manila, Philippines. Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm.

Position purpose and scope

We are looking for a Compliance Associate to provide the enabling support structure for our Risk and Compliance Unit. The ideal candidate for this position will be someone who takes the initiative to find solutions to problems, has excellent communication skills, and pays close attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the Risk and Compliance Manager in the areas of enterprise risk, compliance management, and corporate governance, including implementation and monitoring of appropriate controls
  • Lead compliance culture initiatives set forth by the Risk and Compliance Unit
  • Monitor Compliance Tracker and Risk Registry
  • Monitor progress of the business units in terms of compliance action items
  • Assist in training sessions
  • Assist in the conduct of compliance testing and risk assessment
  • Conduct checks on regulatory websites on new issuances and announcements
  • Act as the Risk and Compliance unit records point person
  • Ad hoc responsibilities including assistance to executives

Experience

  • At least 1 year experience in risk and compliance work

Skills

  • Superb written and verbal communication skills (fluent in business English)
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Discretion and confidentiality
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Google Workspace, and other office management tools and applications with the aptitude to learn new software and systems
  • Critical thinking and problem solving
  • Sound understanding of regulatory guidelines of the Philippines
  • Strong sense of work accountability

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree (Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Finance, Legal Management, or related fields)
